Giving the Flying Boxcar a new coat of paint, less than one hour of daylight remaining before the festivities next day. Not all transparancies got spared in the rush... Full markings would be reapplied to this great relic though, that had been on display here for some 2.5 years already.

Late afternoon and this paintjob was supposed to be ready for the re-opening of the C-119 Military Aircraft Park next day. Full historic markings would be reapplied later on, with both the primary serial and the alternate (the former FMS serial) as well as unit badges.

On display adjacent to the C-119 that this park-in-a-park got its name from. Delivered under FMS as 74-0982, this F-5 was operational into the 1990s and seen preserved here since 2003. The unit badge shows a stylized 7 in the form of a roaring dragon's head.
