TAT built an airfield and a large hangar near the small town of Waynoka, Oklahoma, to connect with Santa Fe Railway night trains to and from Clovis, New Mexico. The photo was taken a couple of days before the inauguration of TAT's transcontinental service. The flights into Waynoka lasted for little more than a year. Today, only the hangar pad and two tiny buildings remain of the airport on Cotton Road. Photo from: Oklahoma Historical Society
