Well visible on this AS-350B3 is the modified Maximum Pilot View Kit (MPVK) designed and distributed by Swiss Rotor Services. Allowing the pilot increased visibility during external sling load operations, the kit does not come cheap but is appreciated by operators around the globe. Also visible is the so called "black tear" on the tailboom, a special high thermal coating protecting the tailboom from the hot exhaust gases as external sling load operations often require extended hovering.

Between 1986 and 1989, the austrian Police Air Wing took delivery of six AS-350B1 helicopters, a rare AS-350 version only built in small numbers (the more power- and successful AS-350B2 came out in 1990). OE-BXH was the 1st of the six B1's mentioned and remains in service at the time of upload, together with sisterships OE-BXI and OE-BXM. Also operated by the law enforcement agency are - as of December 2024 - three AS-350B3+ and eleven EC135's. OE-BXH is seen here about to land at Wucher Helicopter's HQ in Ludesch for a maintenance visit, after a 2 hour flight from Vienna-Vöslau.

Before joining Wucher Helicopter in October of 2021, this 2006 built EC135 has already been operated by various european companies. It's career started in Spain as EC-KKF with INAER (operated for the Spanish Police) till May 2011, when DK Helicopter in Germany bought it as D-HHDL. That same year, it was sold to Bond Aviation UK which operated it as G-CGCD for the East Anglican Air Ambulance. Back to INEAR as EC-MHG in April 2015 (still in HEMS configuration). Finally, between December 2018 and October 2021, it flew as Air Ambulance "SAMU 11" in France, registered F-HBDN.

Usually, Wucher's AS-350 helicopters wear some form of advertisment stickers, but this one was seen "blank" at Wucher's main base in Ludesch, which offers a great background for photography. OE-XGA was built in 2010 and delivered to Wucher factory new.

Built in 2007, this airframe previously carried test registration F-WQDB, then served in Switzerland with Air Grischa and Swiss Helicopter as HB-ZIY till June of 2013. It then went to Portugal as CS-HIF with EverJets before ending up with famous austrian operator Wucher. Seen here on a cold winter day at Wucher's main base in Ludesch.

Although wearing Wucher markings the helicopter is in fact privately owned.
