TWA operated this Constellation as the "Star of Delaware" from 1950 - 1967. Pictured with Central American Airways who would fly the aircraft between 1967 - 1973 after which it was leased to World Citizens International, a travel club. Bought by CIM Associates in late 1974, the airliner was impounded at Lome, Togo on November 1976 when it landed with mechanical problems. While being made airworthy again, a mysterious fire broke out onboard and the fuselage burned out on October 22, 1977. The aircraft remains were used for fire training.
