Built in 2014, previously operated by CHC Norway as LN-OJO, then refurbished and equipped for SAR duties at Heli-One Poland prior its delivery to Greenland in June 2020 to join a 2nd EC225 registered OY-HUW (msn 2986, see picture ID 763062). Even though the FLIR mounting support has previously been installed on the nose of both EC225s, it was only in early 2025 that Air Greenland announced that both platforms will actually be upgraded to full FLIR and NVG capability with the aim to have both ready by March 2026. One EC225 is always on duty while the 2nd is kept on stand-by.
