On November 21, 2025, the museum brought their Iraqi MiG-25RB into the Cold War Gallery for a 6-month temporary display. This aircraft was captured at Al-Taqaddum AB in Iraq in 2003; Iraqi forces had buried this and other aircraft in the sand, in an effort to prevent their destruction by coalition airpower. Chosen as the best of the discovered MiG-25s, this aircraft was brought to the US in 2003, although her wings were not located before she was transported.
