The Vuia 1, displayed at the Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace in Paris-Le Bourget, is the original 1906 aircraft designed by Romanian inventor Traian Vuia. On March 18, 1906, Vuia achieved the first powered flight from a flat surface using a wheeled undercarriage, covering a distance of approximately 12 meters. The aircraft was powered by a carbonic acid engine and featured a high-wing monoplane design. Vuia donated the original aircraft to the museum in 1925.
