Although in basic German 'Katastrophenschutz' colours, the helicopter was used as a company demonstrator. Later she was converted to BK-117B-2 standards and leased to Italy, where the machine was operated by the Verona hospital between 1993 and 2003. She than returned to Germany and was flown by ADAC Luftrettung as D-HEMS until 2014.
