Nasosnaya air base is best known for its MiG-25s, although it also housed dozens of L-29s. It is not sure if this example was ever flown by the Azerbaijani air force after the country regained its independence in 1991. The type has been replaced by the L-39C and most L-29s seem to have been scrapped.
