A number ex East German air force MiG-21s was destined for Iran, but the re-unification of Germany resulted in an embargo. Most of the aircraft were scrapped. Just two MiG-21U-600 were delivered: 288 and 290. This one is now preserved in the Holy Defense museum in Tehran
