This is a 301SQ F4EJ photographed at the JASDF Nyutabaru Air Base Air Show held on Sunday, November 26, 1989. There were five aircraft in total with this paint job. These aircraft participated in the 1989 JASDF Air Combat Competition, and this paint job was applied to the aircraft to boost morale. The "Amigo" lettering on the fuselage was the call sign of 301SQ at the time. The five aircraft also had different shaped shark mouths.

These aircraft participated in the 1990 JASDF combat competition and were painted in this manner to boost morale. The star on the fuselage represents the 5th Wing to which the 301st SQ belonged. Also, when viewed from directly above, the arrangement of stars on the left and right sides resembles the letter V for victory. The sharkmouths of each of the five aircraft were different shapes.
