Delivered new in 1980 to Air Midwest and imported in 1991. On 10 May 2005 at Thompson/MB (CYTH) it was damaged beyond repair in a hard landing. What happened is a good example of how fragile these aircraft are. According to the TSB report: After the aircraft arrived at the apron, a fuel leak was noted. The aircraft was inspected and damage was found in the wheel wells, wing leading edge, engine mounts and a wing-fuselage attachment point. Even jacking one of these up unevenly will cause structural damage.
