Originally built as a J 35 F-2 and taken on charge by F13 Bråvalla flygflottilj 23 September 1968 as 13-4. To F12 Kalmar flygflottilj 2 January 1971 as 12-06. To F1 Västmanlands flygflottilj as 1-06 in October/November 1979. Converted to F 35J in the 1980s. To F10 Skånska flygflottiljen January 1990 as 10-43. F10s call sign was Johan and 35541 served with 3 Div whose colours were yellow. Before 3 Div (a squadron strength unit) was disbanded 31 March 1997, 35541 was painted yellow and known as Gul Johan (Yellow Johan). Later to Flygvapenmuseum and to Eesti Lennundusmuuseum in 2008.

Two 'last ones' at the Swedish air force museum. The yellow Draken was painted as the last Draken with 3 Division and the red Viggen as the last Viggen with 1 Division of F10. Draken 35541 moved to Estonia in 2010 for display in the Turtu aviation museum.
