Having previously been involved with the repair and servicing of the Yak 18, the Nanchang Aircraft Factory went on to produce 379 aircraft for the Air Force, Naval Air Force and CAAC as the Nanchang CJ-5 between 1954 and 1958. There were several on display at the museum in 1991
