Part of a flight of two, this F-16A was seen just after it received fuel from a USAF KC-135R in the 'Sonny Track' over the Adriatic Sea. It is armed with live ammunition as it was conducting a peacekeeping mission over former Yugoslavia. Just over two years later, on 21 May 1998, this aircraft would hit some trees during a low level mission out of Goose Bay. Although it made it back safely to the base, it was subsequently written off.
