Also known as the Hongdu JL-8 or Nanchang JL-8, this intermediate jet trainer and light attack aircraft is a joint co-operation between the China Nanchang Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation and the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex. The 'Karakorum' name originates from the mountain range that separates China and Pakistan.
