Serial 127 crashed on 17 August 2015, just six kilometers south of its homebase. The aircraft arrived in the landing pattern after a training mission and collided with a flock of large birds, which caused the flame-out of the engine. The pilot ejected to safety. A rare squadron rotation took place in 2003 when four Moroccan Air Force Mirage F1s arrived at Châteaudun in France. The four aircraft, 127, 159, 166 and 171 did not showed any unit markings, but the aircraft are assigned to Escadron de Chasse Assad or Atlas, both based at 5 Air Base, Sidi Slimane. Two aircraft of the rotation have crashed, 127 in August 2015 after a bird strike near its homebase, while the here showed 159 crashed on 21 January 2019 after technical issues during landing. Both pilots escaped.
