The first Fireswift, a Dash 8 development by Metrea which has a 6,000 litre fire retardant tank and digital drop-control system, also featuring an electro-optical turret and SpaceX Starlink connectivity to relay data and imagery collected via the sensor suite to all firefighting units, whether on the ground or in the air. The airframe was first delivered to Air BC in 1991 and was acquired from Voyageur Airways
