Inspired by Wild Double Ender project and Piper Super Cub, the Ascender utilizes similar steel tube construction. The only standard Pa-18 parts used in the construction of this prototype were the elevators. Registered as a Lewis Ascender by the FAA, the owner also owns Lewaero Works manufacturing accessories for Carbon and Piper Super Cubs
