In June 1940, the Norwegian Army Air Force needed for the flying school planned in Canada, Little Norway, although Norway had capitulated. In total 86 PT-19 were obtained for the school. Serial 103 is from the first order placed with Fairchild in the summer of 1940. It was in use until 1956.

The identity of this PT-19 is unconfirmed, it was recovered from Curitiba without any plates and almost totally rebuilt, with the steel tubular fuslage just about the only original part. It has been quoted as ex 0527 (msn 260A) and 0455 (msn 189), and also ex PP-GAY. It is part of the impressive collection of the Museu Asas de um Sonho (Wings of a Dream Museum) or better known as TAM Museum, which existed between 2006 and 2016.
