This Š-218 first flew with the Aviation School Prostějov and then was acquired by the Central Slovak Aeroclub Zvolen. It was registered OK-ZOB in April 1936 upon its return to the parent factory Letov, which later transferred it to the collection of the National Technical Museum. The plane was transported to the Letecké Muzeum Kbely in September 1978, and its renovation began shortly thereafter. It has been on display since 1981 in the markings it wore at the Prostějov school.

The Š-18 was a trainer first flown here at Kbely in 1925. The Š-218 variant received a more powerful engine and a steel tube rather than a wooden fuselage frame.
