This helicopter was seized circa 2003 / 2004 from someone involved in illegal activities (probably a drug lord, I don't recall completely), and was added to the Ecuadorian National Police fleet. Unfortunately it was written off after a hard landing near Cayambe on 17 August 2005. Fortunately nobody was injured nor lost their lives during this incident.
