This Mooney was registered to Dutch astronaut Wubbo Ockels on 3 August 1988, and it was written off after an accident at Lille, France on 5 December 1989. It was taxiing onto the Lille runway when it was hit by a landing A320, tearing off its wing and fin and damaging the fuselage. Owner Wubbo Ockels was the sole occupant at the time, and fortunately he survived this incident.
