Based here with 32nd FIS while awaiting the first brand new F-4E's in August of that year. All F-102's of the 32nd FIS left Soesterberg AB for the U.S. in July 1969 (project Coronet East 80). 56-1245 crashed into the Gulf of Mexico on March 24, 1970.
