Finally I was able to see this one with great light! "Geográfico Militar 628" off to Guayaquil. This aircraft is used for air photography, cartography and mapping and it also transports personnel from the Ecuadorian army.

A very strange visitor resting at general aviation apron at UIO. It arrived that day from Bogotá with a stopover at Guayaquil, the following morning this ATR flew back to Bogotá. This same aircraft was spotted at Guayaquil in July 2015.

This beautiful Cessna Sovereign wearing its new livery and titles arriving as FAP02 from Asunción (SGAS). Has vice-president Hugo Velázquez on board, coming to town as a guest to the possession of Ecuadorian president Guillermo Lasso.

Finally I was able to catch this little guy. The newest purchase of LAS Cargo, a B733F that belonged to the Chilean airline LAW (Latin American Wings) with CC-ASQ and several others like Air Baltic (YL-BBL), SkyEurope Hungary (HA-LKS) and EasyJet as (G-EZYJ). Departing early in the morning to Bogotá as always. Soon this airline will buy some B737-800BCF, sadly, to replace their B727s.

Who would say that the cabin of the "Miguel de Unamuno" would end up on a private property in Carcelén (north of the city of Quito). The afternoon of November 9, 2007, Iberia flight 6463 landed on runway 35 at the old Quito Airport in adverse weather conditions and the giant A340-600 went out by 232 meters from the end of runway 35 at a speed of 92 knots. The plane was damaged beyond economic repair and it was broken up in 2008. The cockpit was purchased to make a flight simulator but it disappeared for several years until now that was discovered at this location.

A beautiful preserved aircraft. Some time ago there was a Lockheed T-33 in that spot (FAE-622) now there's this Sepecat Jaguar EB, that I believe is the only one of its type in Ecuador. You can see the chopped T-33 in the background near the trees, so sad to see it in that condition, but hope to see it preserved again and in one piece.

Flying over the city and my house during a beautiful afternoon alongside more Ecureuil, Fennec, Lama, Super Puma and Mi-17 helicopters, all of this during the rehearsal of the air parade due to the Ecuadorian Army day.

One of two remaining DC-6s in Ecuador. This beautiful 1956 airframe is preserved inside of La Carolina Park in the north of Quito. This DC-6 was first operated by Western Airlines and Braniff International as N91311, then it was registered as CC-CCG with LAN Chile before belonging to the Ecuadorian Air Force as FAE-45063 / HC-AVI. It was withdrawn from use in 1978. This plane has been painted with approximately 3 schemes during the years, that were made by street artists.

Who would think we would be able to see the presidential helicopter of Colombia at the old Mariscal Sucre airport. This special visitor came from Tumaco to the new Quito's Airport with a special delegation from Colombia due to the visit of president Iván Duque the following day in order to attend the posession of the new president of Ecuador, Guillermo Lasso. The president of Colombia cancelled its trip the next day due to the riots in that country, so this helicopter flew back to the new airport to pick up their passengers and returned to Colombia.

Departing on a charter flight towards Mexico City as RER 6815 wearing the new livery of this ecuadorian airline. As you can see, the titles seem to say: "Aeroreaional" due to the fact that the letter "g" was partially erased during the painting process hehe. I must say I don't fully like this livery but it's great to see an airline carrying the ecuadorian flag colors.

The wait paid off. "Policía Nacional 114" departing just a few meters away from me, the wind almost knocked me down!! Wearing new colors, similar to the other Ecureuil of the Ecuadorian police.

Next to the Latacunga Cotopaxi Intl. Airport you have the ETFA (Escuela Técnica de la Fuerza Aérea) and inside a sports pitch is this T-33. Last time I saw a picture of this airframe it was painted all grey, a little broken down, abandoned and even with some graffiti on it, now it's painted again and even with a new kind of "stand" made with rocks. This was the best shot I could get, because the ETFA is closed due to the current pandemic. Ex - U.S. Air Force (53-5806).

First photo of this beauty in a long time. This ex SAETA Sud Aviation SE.210 Caravelle is located inside the "Hacienda Pastaví" a farm near the city of Otavalo, north of Ecuador. It was bought by the owner of this farm, converted into a private bar and moved to this location in the 1990s and it stays there until today. For some years this aircraft used to have a livery similar to Iberia's old one. Now the livery is a little changed as you can see. Since the owner doesn't allow anybody inside of the hacienda I managed to get this shot behind the wall that surrounds the property. No registration visible.
