Tragically, on 16th November 2008 , this aircraft was lost and the pilot killed when it ditched in English Channel off Cherbourg whilst on a flight from Biggin Hill to Jersey; the accident report concluded that the cause was loss of control in IMC weather conditions.

On 4th November 2008, shortly after takeoff from Staverton Gloucester Airport, the aircraft lost power and a forced landing was carried out in a nearby field. The aircraft was declared damaged beyond economic repair by its insurers and the wings were cut off for transportation by road to the Air Accidents Investigation Branch facility at Farnborough.
