Both Antonov's were flown in especially for us, both empty from Pyongyang. After our arrival on the Tu-134, we spent atleast an hour on the apron, photographing all 3 aircraft and taking a group photo with the Tupolev. There were a lot of An-2 trainers present at the airport, but we were not to photograph any of them, just like any other military installations/people.

Both Antonov's were flown in especially for us, both empty from Pyongyang. After our sightseeing flight, many people had quickly gotten off after taking a few photos in the cockpit. They made a dash towards the terminal and I was puzzled why they were doing that. Soon I realized that there was a puddle of water there, which was the result of the cooling of brakes, a standard procedure for the Russian jets in North Korea. And there we were; 10-15 people flat on a concrete apron in one of the most isolated countries in the world. Must've been a sight!

After our scenic flight over the country, we had a short amount of time for some exterior photos. 30 weird people with camera's, it must've been an amusing sight. This aircraft flew in military camouflage colors earlier that year and from the side, you could still see green stains (tail). My first and probably last flight on an IL-76, it was amazing! On the left side is P-914, on the right side the new terminal was being constructed.
