Junkers Ju52/3mge with werknummer 1351 of 2.Staffel KGrzbV.108 took off from Oslo-Fornebu on its way to Banak in Northern Norway and was supposed to land at Trondheim-Vaernes. On 30/31 October 1942, it crashed with eight people on board near Øverlihøgda, a mountain east of Ringebu in what was then the county of Oppland. The wreck can still be seen today after a strenuous two hour hike through the mountains, and two hours back.
