In the scrapping area of Teruel there were two A330 of Air Italy remaining. One still mostly intact and this one, well 'scrapping-in-progress'. Radome and all cockpit windows removed, wings and stabilizers cut off. Both without a registration, with their main Air Italy titles taped over with grey tape.

A little step to the left, a step to the right, a bit further from the fence. Just to be in that one spot where the registration shows between the engine pylon and a flaptrack fairing. VP-CEV positively identified ! This is ex I-EJGB of Alitalia, the paintjob still very clear, but all titles and names removed.

Not the best angle, but you dont have much choise outside the fence.

Distant shot of the storage area at Teruel, Spain. Almost 10% of all A380s ever build are now parked in this desert. This row of giants is seen here from a small parking area right on the rail viaduct on the N234 motorway near the threshold of runway 18. In sequence we see Etihad, Lufthansa, Air France and British Airways.

A6-APD arrived in Teruel in May 2021, after 14 months of storage at the Etihad homebase in Abu Dhabi.

After only 5 years of service this A380 was sent to Teruel for long term parking. The Gears and engines fully covered, all windows taped up. Not sure why of almost all jets the top of the vertical stabilizer is also taped off.

Two I-Fly A330 remain at Teruel, this one in full c/s was once EI-FBU. No external registration was visable from the perimeter road. The A330 is parked right up at the fence, with three more A330s behind it.

Another aircraft without registration in the storage area of Teruel. On the nosewheeldoor however there is a placard with 28714. This is the Boeing contruction number of the Transaero B777 that flew as EI-UNV. After Transaero went bankrupt late December 2014 a large part of their fleet went to Teruel. By 2021 only 3 B747 and 1 777 remain here.

British Airways B777-200 G-VIIV was delivered to Heatrow in June 1999, and left for Teruel in April 2021. The area in front of the B777 looks like the start of a building site, if they pull up a hangar here it will seriously limit the views of the storage area.

Another puzzle right at the outer fence of the storage area. A blanc A340 with a german flag in the tail. Lufthansa never had the -500 series. It was not until I got home and enlarged some of the detail shots I made. On the nosewheel door I discovered a placard with 464. Now A340-500 cn 464 was delivered to Air Canada in June 2004 as C-GKOM and was leased to TAM as PT-MSL in 2007. It never returned to Air Canada, but went in storage. First in Rio, later at Marana and Schwerin-Parchim. Here it got the German Registration D-AAAL. In 2018 the A340 moved to Teruel. The reg was not seen from here.

One of the more difficult ones to identify because the registration has been removed from the fuselage. Out of the 14 B777 that VIM has operated, I identified this one as ex VP-BVX cn 28514 based on the number of windows between door 1R and door 2R and how the VIM logo is placed there.

Only operated for VIM in the summer of 2017, arrived at Teruel in October 2017. Ex EVA B-16308.

G-CIVX has been at Teruel since April 2020.

9H-AHV is Ex UR-GOC, and is now parked next to 9H-AHU. Both still in full c/s with all titles, but under ownership of AerCap.

The day of my visit G-XLEA was parked at the maintenance hangar of TARMAC the recycling and maintenance company at Teruel airport. I started very early in the morning to avoid the worst heatwaves.

4 A350 that were originally ordered by the HNA group are stored at Teruel, and parked together. 3 are white and this one is the only one that had already been painted by Airbus in full Hainan Airlines c/s. The four A350s were delivered from Toulouse via Geneva in April of 2021. F-WXAN in full c/s being the first on 9 April.

Still in full Austrian c/s with all decorations in place. Arrived at Teruel on 25 January 2021.

Originally UR-GOB with Ukraine International. The engine is still there, only the inlet and the fancowl doors are removed.

Lots of Lufthansa widebody jets parked at Teruel. This A340-600 is fully wrapped up, but still looks very complete. The two letters in the top of the tail in the old c/s help a lot when trying to identify all the jets in the storage area.
