ZG476 'AP' heads this line-up of four visiting Harrier GR7s from 3 Squadron, seen here sitting by the roadside at Leuchars during a lunch stop. RAF Germany Harriers and Tornadoes were regularly visitors to the Fife base in the late 1980s and early 1990s. This particular airframe was written off on 19 February 1996 when it crashed on final approach to RAF Wittering. Happily, the pilot was able to eject and survived with only minor injuries.
