These served with VMO-5, VMO-1, VMO-4 and VMO-8 in the US. VMO-2 and VMO-6 operated the type in Vietnam, and 18 Broncos were used by USN to equip VA(L)-4 "Black Ponies" for riverine patrols along the Mekong Delta. The longer nose OV-10D was a Night Observation System (NOS) conversion with 1,040 hp Garrett T76-G-420/421 turboprops.
