Replica built by George Lucas on display at Planes of Fame Air Museum. The Heinkel He-100 was produced in limited numbers as a rival to the Bf-109. Considerably faster than the Bf-109, the type was not taken up by the RLM. One of the prototypes set a world record of 746.6 km/h in the hands of Hans Dieterleon 30 Mar 1939. A few of the production aircraft were flown as fighters to protect Heinkel's Marienehe factory. These were fictitiously called the He-113. None survived the war.
