Pictured at the Irish Air Corps main base in Baldonnel, 277 is a 2007 built airframe and one of six AW139 operated by the small air arm. The first two (serialled 274 & 275) were delivered in 2006, followed by 276 & 277 in 2007, while 278 & 279 completed the fleet in 2008. Since June 2012, the IAC contributes one helicopter plus crew to Irland's National Ambulance Service. Initally, the IAC used an EC135 during a trial phase but now provides the much larger AW139 to the program called "Air Corps 112". which is based at the Army's Custume Barracks in Athlone.
