In December of 2002, the Polish AF ordered 48 Block 52 F-16C/D aircraft under the "Peace Sky" contract with Lockheed Martin. The order consisted of 36 single seat F-16C (serialled 4040 through 4075) and 12 dual seat F-16D (serialled 4076 through 4087). 4056 pictured here carried US FY 03-0056 and was part of the Polish AF's F-16 Demoteam. In a tragic event during a rehearsal flight for the Radom 2025 Air Show, the aircraft crashed, with the unfortunate loss of the sympathic and well respected pilot, Major Maciej "Slab" Krakowian.
