Development Aircraft 1 of the EF2000 made its maiden flight from Manching in 1994, the final assembly plant for the German Typhoons. During its 12 years in service, the prototype performed 578 flights totaling about 500 flight hours. The last flight took place on 21 December 2005 and the frame is now on display at the Deutsches Museum - Flugwerft Schleissheim.
