This Helicopter was destroyed on 3rd June 1993 when it flew into power lines at Fordoun in Aberdeenshire while on a survey flight. All three crew were injured, two seriously, but survived. The accident report stated that it was only the fact the pilot was wearing a crash helmet that saved him from a fatal head injury.
