Built by Aeritalia-Alenia as G222RM (RM = Radio Misure). It was first seen with 8°Gruppo RM/14°Stormo in late December 1983. The G222 was first seen, withdrawn from use and stored at the end of parallel runway at Pratica di Mare in late 2006. Reported derelict at Napoli-Capodichino in mid-2011.
