At that time the 2nd Gruppo aircrafts wore identity codes in the range 46-20 to 46-39 and the 46 Brigata badge on the fin was trimmed in red colour. In 1984 46 Brigata Aerea was stil named as 46 Aerobrigata. This is the airframe that was shot down by a Stinger missile 35 km west of Sarajevo on 3 September 1992, while flying at 15000 feet on humanitarian mission from Split to Sarajevo. It crashed on Mount Zec killing all four crew members. This photo is copyright © Massimo Liperi, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
