This is one of the assets that have been collected in San Damiano by the Italian Air Force, with the idea of a "Flying Museum". The aircrafts and helicopters should be preserved in a so called "flyiable condition" to be displayed also flying on future events. The AMX, or A-11 Ghibli as officially renamed by the Air Force, was phase out on 5 April 2024. This one and other three aircrafts, including the phase-out special colour one, were transferred to Piacenza on 11 April 2024.
