This F4EJ Kai of 302SQ belonging to Naha Air Base was photographed at JASDF Nyutabaru Air Base on the 26th of October 2006. This aircraft is painted in the livery required for the JASDF Combat Skills Competition held in 2006. On the nose is painted the face of a shisa (lion), a guardian deity that has been passed down since ancient times on Okinawa Island, where Naha Air Base is located.
