The only Lockheed VC-121E built, "Columbine III" served as President Dwight D Eisenhower's personal transport from 1954 until he left office in January 1961. Named after after the official state flower of Colorado in honour of his wife, the Super Connie was retired in 1966 and flown to the museum This photo is copyright © Richard Vandervord, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
