Delivered to the US Navy as P2V-7 140963 in 1955. Converted to a P2V-7S in 1960. Redesignated as an SP-2H in 1962. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ in 1974. Sold as N963LH then to Aero Union as N142DP in 1986 then N702AU in 1987 and N90YV in 1988.. Converted to a firestar firebomber which had the jet engines, auxiliary fuel tanks, and expansion tanks removed and carried 2000 gallons of retardant on computer controlled constant flow doors. Reregistered as N716AU in 1989. To the Chico Air Museum in 2004. Sold in 2007 and scrapped at Chico in 2010.
