You can't beat the old metallic and dayglo combination! This rarity is one of 15 Cessna Model 195s obtained by the USAF in 1949 to meet a need for a rugged aircraft with excellent performance for the Arctic rescue service. The floats were interchangeable with skis. The paint scheme shows the aircraft as operated by the 10th ARS at Elmendorf AFB, AK This photo is copyright © Richard Vandervord, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
