Built 1971 as a Nimrod MR.1 and converted to MR.2 standard at Woodford over a two year period between 1978 and 1980, the third of some 35 aircraft so modified. On retirement in 2010 it was allocated to the RAF Museum at Cosford, but due to the short runway there it was instead flown to Norwich for preservation, albeit that two years later Cosford did receive a Nimrod R.1.
