This Sea Hawk was built in 1954 and served with 806, 897, 895, 700 and 736 NAS before being relegated to the School of Aircraft Handling (SAH) at Culdrose in June 1961 with maintenance serial A2510. Going on display at RAF Sealand in 1971, it was given the RAF maintenance serial 8162M, but this was not carried. Next moving to Fleetwood Sea Cadets in 1976, it reached Newark in July 1984. Displayed in the 897 NAS colours as worn while operating from HMS Eagle between April 1956 and January 1957 This photo is copyright © Richard Vandervord, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
