The only Australian Prentice. Australian authorities imposed a restriction on all-up weight that limited the use of the type . When the owner complained he was told he could arrange for the aircraft to be tested but he would have to pay the cost. VH-BAO soon changed hands. It crashed at Cobar on April 26, 1960. The pilot and passenger were unharmed and it was dismantled by professional engineers. But where it was taken is not known. VH-BAO remained registered until 1969.
