The UW Med Flight helicopter air ambulance service is based at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin and was established in 1985. In 1989, the program operated the Aerospatiale 365N, N1UW. which was based at a ground level heliport near the emergency department of the hospital (which was replace by a rooftop pad). The helicopter was previously registered N365AH, and later registered N9UW, F-WQEE and 3A-MCM. Med Flight has been operated by Metro Aviation since May 2019 now operates one Airbus H145 and three Airbus H135s based at Portage, Mineral Point and Janesville. This photo is copyright © Kenneth I.
