VH-FAV was flown to Australia in May/June 1954. In 1962 it fell victim to a government order grounding wooden aircraft built with synthetic glues, which were all British types. FAV was acquired by a winery and mounted nose down by the side of the Great Western Highway at Minchinbury with the slogan "Don't crash. Drink Penfolds". It replaced a timber mock-up of an aircraft. FAV rapidly deteriorated and was gone by 1970.
