Last serving at BAN Nimes-Garone with 56S (established as École du Personel Volant de l'Aéronautique Maritime), this aircraft was built as a C-47B-35-DK by Douglas at Oklahoma City and allocated USAAF serial 44-77116 but going the to RAF as Dakota IV KP229. Passing to the Belgian AF in 1950, it became K-36/OT-CWO, moving on to L'Armée de l'Air as 77116 in 1952 and the Aéronavale as 716 (callsign F-YDQR) in 1970.
