'Pictured in flight for the first time in the new all-white anti-radation finish is the Vickers Valiant, first four-jet bomber to serve with the RAF.' XD823 was delivered to No 49 Sqn later that month, and was one of the Valiants deployed to Christmas Island for nuclear tests. Struck off charge already in 1965 and scrapped.
